Modern Afternoon Tea
Sit Back & Relax with a Steam Hauled Afternoon Tea.
Afternoon tea’ refers to a quintessentially British tradition established by Anna, the Duchess of Bedford, in the 19th century. When first introduced, the practice of sitting down for afternoon tea wasn’t seen as a treat. In fact, it had a very practical purpose – to fill the gap between lunch and dinner.
The tradition of Afternoon Tea dates back more than 200 years, to a time before steam-powered train travel was not even invented. Now that the steam age has been and gone, both are celebrated on the Keighley & Worth Valley!
£35 per person for the Restaurant Car, 11:40 & 14:25 boarding.
£40 per person for the Pullman Car, 12:30 & 15:15 boarding.
