On Saturday 27th May, it is Diesel & Ale Day when our diesel service will be formed of Mk.1 stock with on-train bar facilities sponsored by BIngley Brewery and hauled by 25 059. The steam service will have 75078 at the head. For the Sunday and Monday 2 steam service, 75078 will be joined by 5820. Tuesday - Friday will see 43924 take over for weekday running being joined by 75078 on Wednesday and Thursday
Weekend of 10th and 11th June sees the return of the Steam & Ale Trail for its second year and for 2017 it is bigger and better. All the details are now on-line, the event will be open from 11.00 to 22.00 on the Saturday and from 11.00 to 18.00 on the Sunday. There will be bars at every station and at Ingrow there will also be musical entertainment on Saturday and family entertainment on the Sunday.
April 1st 2017 will long be remembered in the Worth Valley as the day that started a magnificent 9 days with the world's most famous stream locomotive, 'Flying Scotsman'. Starting with 2 days on static display at Ingrow West Station, this was followed by 7 days of action with 'Flying Scotsman' hauling trains every day between Keighley and Oxenhope. Everyone involved with the KWVR take great pride in delivering this memorable occasion and this photographic gallery is a wonderful reminder on one week at the beginning of April 2017.
This weekend we feature 3 days of passenger services with three locomotives that saw action during WW2 hauling our steam services. 90733 is in operation on all three days being joined by 5820 and 43924 on Saturday and Sunday
This weekend the standard weekend service will see 75078 in operation on both days and 43924 at the head of the 2nd steam service on Sunday. Our Class 101 diesel multiple unit will operate the Saturday diesel service.
With only nine weeks to go until our brand new "Little Engines Gala" we are delighted to announce our first visiting locomotive, 'Austerity' 0-6-0ST 71515 'Mech Navvies' a type of engine that featured in the early days of the KWVR with two examples of the class operational during the early years.
The first weekend for some time with our standard weekend service will see 90733 in operation on both days and 75078 at the head of the 2nd steam service on Sunday
Three locomotives will share the services over the May half-term. 75078 starts the week, assisted by 90733 on Sunday and Monday with 43924 taking over Tuesday - Friday. Plus mainline diesel haulage on Saturday with 37 075
This weekend is the second of our mainline diesel Saturdays when we will be running diesel locomotive hauled trains ALL DAY, as well as the regular steam hauled service, PLUS a railcar Keighley - Damems Shuttle.
Locomotives built specifically for the war effort take centre stage for the Haworth 1940s Weekend when the village is transformed by crowds and bunting in celebration of the war years. War Department locomotive 90733 will feature on all 3 days but this year will be supported by 43924, 5820, our second wartime locomotive being stopped for essential repairs.
85 was star of the show at this year's Winter Steam Gala, returning to action for the first time since restoration to lined out Taff Vale Railway livery. Also in action were 5820, 43924, 1054 and 1704 'Nunlow'
This weekend sees 75078 operating steam services on Saturday and Sunday with TVR no. 85 hauling a 3 coach set on Sunday. Additionally D0226 will be hauling coaches to form the 2 diesel services on Sunday. A weekend with something for everyone.
The Transdev 812 Brontë tour bus service has returned for another summer season and will operate until the 31st August
Summer timetables come into operation on Monday 1st June and steam will be in action every day until Sunday 13th September. The first locomotive in action will be Standard 4, 75078.
On 26th September, Manorlands Hospice, just up the road from Oxenhope Station, will, once again be having their Starlight Hike to raise funds for their wonderful work. This year the KWVR are happy to assist their efforts by taking Hike participants down to the start of their 10km walk.
It is 60 years since British Railways closed the Great Northern Route from Keighley to Bradford and Halifax to passengers and to mark this significant event in the story of our railway, an exhibition will be held in the Museum of Rail Travel at Ingrow telling the story of this "remarkable railway'.

There is steam action on 3 days this weekend as the Haworth 1940s weekend stretches over 3 days, Friday - Sunday. Appropriately the Railway has rostered 2 wartime locomotives, 90733 and 5820
Highlight of the year in Haworth Village, the Haworth 1940s Weekend is back with us again and the Railway is playing its full part in making this wonderful event a huge success.
Four locomotives will be in operation this weekend, 2 steam and 2 diesel, as the Railway's second weekend of steam and diesel operation offers two train running on both days.
The Tour de Yorkshire cycle race passes down the Worth Valley on Sunday 3rd May. Whilst the effects on the Valley will be minor in comparison to July 2014, there will be some disruption that visitors to the Railway out to be aware of.
