Keighley Transport Festival

Over the May Bank Holiday weekend , Keighley will be host to ‘In Motion – Keighley Transport Festival’ and the Railway, as a major all year transport attraction , will be playing its full part.

Due to the deteriorating situation with the Corvid-19 virus, the organisers of the Festival have now postponed the event.

Keighley & Worth Valley Railway

As well an being an integral part being part of In Motion, celebrating transport within the Keighley area, the Railway will be operating an intensive passenger service linking Oxenhope & Haworth to the festival sites at Ingrow and Keighley from early morning and into the evening.

Rail Story, Ingow Station

10:00am to 5:00pm Both days

  • Display of rail travel through the ages in Carriage Museum & Loco Workshops & Learning Coach
  • Goods loading demonstrations

Keighley Bus Museum & Keighley College Car Park

10:00am to 5:00pm Both days

  • Display of motor buses of all ages from the museums own collection & possibly visiting vehicles
  • Unique display of range of trolleybuses & motor buses with operated in Keighley from 1913 to 1973

East Riddlesden Hall

10:00am to 5:00pm Both days

  • Pack Horse Travel & Trade through the ages exhibition
  • Display of heritage farm wagons in the Medieval Tithe Barn

Cliffe Castle Park

10:00am to 5:00pm Both days

  • Display of heritage motor cars by Craven Old Wheels
  • Open Day at The Lion’s Den (Shed)
  • Japanese Lake and fishing, gardens, worshops, skills
  • Horse-drawn double deck Omnibus & Jersey Wagon
  • Horse-drawn ‘Black Maria’ lent by KTC
  • West Yorkshire Police Horses
