Yorkshire Day

Every Yorkshireman is proud of his heritage and here at the KWVR we share that heritage both in our Yorkshire roots and in preserving our piece of Yorkshire’s past. Celebrate Yorkshire Day with us on the 1st August at Ingrow West.

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is proud of its Yorkshire routes and is delighted to support our partners Bahamas Locomotive Society and Vintage Carriages Trust at RAIL STORY in celebrating ‘YORKSHIRE DAY’ on the 1st of August.

Between 11.00 and 16.00 RAIL STORY will be flinging open its doors and welcoming one and all to celebrate the largest and best county in the whole of the United Kingdom. There will be attractions for children and adults alike:

  • Yorkshire Handcrafted Pies (supplied by C&L Herd Butchers)
  • Traditional Yorkshire Sweets
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Trackside Talks – ‘Yorkshire Locomotives’ (times to be confirmed)
