Over the Easter weekend there is a two train service with 75078 and 5820 providing the steam power. From Tuesday 75078 continues at the head of the weekday passenger service.
The Saturday and Sunday steam service will be in the capable hands of 75078 with the diesel railcar M79964 operating the Saturday and Sunday diesel services and the midweek diesel railcar service, the last for a while as our Easter services start on Good Friday.
Following on from their successful 2 volumes looking at the Great Northern Lines in West Yorkshire, Alan Whitaker and Jan Rapacz turn their attention to the Midland Railway lines to the north of Bradford in a full colour book with many, previously unpublished, photographs of a lost railway scene.
With the Gala now over and 2 of the locomotives returned to base, it is back to normal on the KWVR. This weekend will see LMS 'Black 5' 44871 hauling the steam services and the diesel railcar M79964 on the weekend diesel service.
The Railway has reluctantly decided to cancel the diesel railcar service on Saturday, 3rd March. However the steam service, scheduled to operate behind BR Standard 4, 4-6-0 75078 will run on both days, weather permitting and the diesel service on Sunday.

During the 9 days that 'Flying Scotsman' is on the branch a total of 4 steam locomotives will be in operation at various times, 60103, 75078, 43924 and 90733, plus our Class 101 diesel multiple unit on a Keighley - Ingrow shuttle.

It is Mother's day this Sunday when the railway will be running two steam services on Sunday. The main steam service will be hauled by 5820 on both days with 43924 at the head of the Pullman set on Sunday.
It's back to the home fleet to provide the motive power this weekend with 5820 hauling the steam service up the Valley.
The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway has a new department to manage all the infrastructure on the Worth Valley Railway and we are looking to recruit a tradespeople team of volunteers for the maintenance of our buildings, mainly stations, and our signals and telegraph infrastructure.
Having taken part in last weekend's Gala, 61264 remains on the Railway and will head steam services this weekend before returning home to the NYMR.
During the visit of 'Flying Scotsman' our regular volunteers will be working flat out to run the trains and man the stations, buffets and shops so we are looking to recruit extra volunteers to help run the 'pop-up' sales stands around the Railway.

MR Class 4F 0-6-0 43924 will operate every day from Saturday 2nd - Wednesday 6th April but gives way to Taff Vale Railway 0-6-2T no. 85 for its first turn of normal timetable duty since restoration to working order..
Following a successful introduction in 2015, the monthly mainline diesel hauled service trains return for 2016, operating on the last Saturday of every month April - September. In addition there will be diesel hauled morning services on some days and a special Class 08 celebration in June
British Railways Class 4MT 4-6-0 75078 will operate every day of the Easter weekend and throughout Easter week, supported by 43924 Good Friday - Easter Monday on the two train Blue Timetable.
5820 was out and about on the Railway last weekend and will return this weekend prior to entering the works for its annual boiler exam and planned maintenance.
Sit Down For Breakfast, Stand Up For Farmers. The KWVR is proudly working alongside Haworth Fair Trade to host a Fair Trade Breakfast on Saturday March 5th. Anyone travelling on the 11am departure from Oxenhope and the 11.45 from Keighley can enjoy a free Fair Trade breakfast.
