Enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle!

As Christmas approaches, it’s time to enjoy a heart-warming mulled wine and mince-pie onboard the Mulled Wine Special.

Set a new Christmas tradition this year with a journey on one of our specials running on selected Fridays in December. Slow down and take a moment to enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle that December brings as you steam through the valley from Oxenhope to Keighley and back.

The train will slow down as we pass historic stations and their festive glow. We’ll take a break at Keighley Station, where you can enjoy festive music and will be served mulled wine and a mince pie in the comfort of your own seat (or compartment).

The Mulled Wine Specials depart from Oxenhope Station only, and there is a large free car park. The Exhibition Shed will be open & full of festive cheer; this is where your Mulled Wine Special will start, and the bar will be open serving drinks & snacks.

Don’t forget to wrap up warm
(Christmas jumpers aren’t compulsory but make great festive photos!).

  • The Boxing Day “Mince Pie Express” services on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway proved very popular, with the overnight snowfall adding to the atmosphere. The Exhibition Shed at Oxenhope will look its festive best, and you’ll be able to capture the Christmas spirit under the tall Christmas Tree.

The Pantry will serve a selection of hot & cold drinks and tasty treats & snacks before boarding your Mulled Wine Special./

Accessibility Seating
This year we have a limited number of Accessibility Seats; the railway uses rolling stock from the 1950s & 60s, but we have converted one of our coaches to have Accessibility Seating. These can only be booked by emailing our Booking Office at admin@kwvr.co.uk
