Today the boiler for 75078 has been placed back onto the frames.

The 90-year-old, 1015/50 Craven 50 Ton Breakdown Crane was moved from the Bahamas Locomotive Society Engine Shed at Ingrow Station last week in preparation for the boiler lift. The crane was steamed and positioned in the yard, and the volunteers manually set the stabiliser legs.

The work-in-progress 75078 was then placed alongside manoeuvred by 08 266, with the tender at the back, frames, then boiler and cab on a wagon. Then the crane was prepared and the lift was put into motion, a few hours later and the boiler was on the frames!

The crane was lowered and legs put away and moved away ready for re-painting, and 75078 was put back into the shed for work to continue.
