This weekend the standard weekend service will see 75078 in operation on both days and 43924 at the head of the 2nd steam service on Sunday. Our Class 101 diesel multiple unit will operate the Saturday diesel service.
With only nine weeks to go until our brand new "Little Engines Gala" we are delighted to announce our first visiting locomotive, 'Austerity' 0-6-0ST 71515 'Mech Navvies' a type of engine that featured in the early days of the KWVR with two examples of the class operational during the early years.

Celebrating the re-opening of the Settle to Carlisle Railway and 150 years of the opening of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, the Oxenhope - Carlisle charter with 'Flying Scotsman' was a day to savour for passengers, volunteers and staff. For the Bank Holiday weekend we will have two steam locomotives in operation 75078 and 90733 plus an all day diesel service on Saturday formed of our normal service coaches hauled by one of our main line diesels, 37 075.
Richard Jones, currently Operations Officer at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway and a former General Manager of both the Swanage and Bodmin & Wenford heritage railways, has been appointed to the new post of Head of Operating at the West Somerset Railway (WSR). Richard – who has been actively involved in the heritage railway movement since 1973, and celebrates 40 years as a volunteer at the WSR this year – starts his new role from 1 June.
BR Standard Class 4MT 75078 will haul all steam services from the 18th - 23rd April. Our DMU will be on the diesel service at the weekend until D0226 takes over for the last 2 trips on Sunday
After a delay due to the locomotives to work the branch not being ready in time, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway finally opened between Keighley and Oxenhope 150 years ago on the 13th April 1867.
Starting on the Saturday, 13th May 2017, RAIL STORY, at Ingrow West railway station, are delighted to announce the launch of a new club especially for children in the 8-13 age group to introduce youngsters to the wonders of science in a fun and highly imaginative, inspiring environment.
