Our Civil Engineers have been busy and our normal weekend service resumes with 5820 operating steam trains on both days and 43924 joining in on Sunday. The midweek diesel railcar service returns on Wednesday and this, and the Saturday early morning service, will be operated by our Class 101 DMU.
With our Civil Engineers undertaking essential maintenance the Green timetable will operate on both days this weekend with 43924 at the head of the steam service.
Ian Riley's LMS Class 5MT ('Black 5') 4-6-0 44871 will be arriving on the Railway this week and subject to a fitness-to-run examination will take the place of 43924 at the head of steam services this weekend.
This weekend sees the last of the Diesel and Ale Days, this time in the hands of 20 031. The steam service on Saturday and Sunday will have 43924 at the head and our Class 101 diesel multiple unit will operate the diesel service on Sunday
Returning to normality, on the main service this weekend will be 90733 with a rare appearance of 1704 'Nunlow' on the relief set on Sunday.
This popular event will be returning from 19th - 22nd October 2017 and with just 1 month to go the beer list, with approximately 150 beers, has now been published. Cider and wine drinkers are not left out and new for 2017 we will also have a selection of artisan gins available.
Every year, in September, our Civil Maintenance team take possession of some part of the line. This year work is being concentrated on one of our bridges necessitating severance of the line between Oakworth and Haworth. 90733 and diesel 25 059 will operate a Haworth-Oxenhope shuttle, with our Class 101 DMU operating Oakworth-Keighley. A bus will link Haworth and Ingrow
The pink timetable this week offers 4 round trips behind 43924. 5820 operates the Green timetable on both Saturday and Sunday as the Railway prepares for civil engineering work that will take place over 2 weeks commencing 11th September.
The Winter Blue Timetable comes into force this Sunday with 75078 doing the honours on the steam service on both days and the Class 101 heritage diesel multiple unit operating the morning service on Saturday and the second passenger service throughout the day on Sunday.
Saturday sees the last of the big diesel days when 20 031 will head the diesel service all day. 90733 will be at the head of steam service on both days being joined by 85 on Sunday.
After disappointments in previous Galas, the Railway is delighted to confirm that we will now have two guest locomotives for the 2016 Autumn Steam Spectacular, as previously announced, 34053 'Sir Keith Park' will now be joined by GWR Manor Class locomotive 7822 'Foxcote Manor'
After the exertions of the Civil department replacing Oakworth level crossing, normal service returns to the Worth Valley with 75078 operating over the weekend being joined by 85 on Sunday. The mid-week railbus service returns on Wednesday, now that 7-day running has stopped for the Autumn.

Next week is Civil Week when the Railway is closed to allow our Civil Engineers to undertaken large infrastructure projects to keep the line safe and in good order. Accordingly there will only be one passenger service operating throughout Saturday and Sunday as the materials for the weeks exercise are transported to where they are needed. The steam locomotive service will be in the hands of 75078.
Visitor's to the on-train buffet car will be able to sample a special beer celebrating the closure 50 years ago of a local family brewery, Joseph Hey & Co.'s brewery of Bradford.
75078 continues from its weekday duties and operates on both days of the weekend. On Sunday it is joined by 43924 which will then head the weekday Pink timetable.
