This weekend sees the penultimate big diesel Saturday when 20 031 will be at the head of 4 coaches all day. The steam service has 90733 on all 3 days of the Bank Holiday being joined by 75078 Sunday - Friday for the last week of the Orange timetable for this year.
Keighley & Worth Valley Railway will feature in the new film version of Swallows and Amazons which is released today, an adaptation of Arthur Ransome's children's book based in the 1930s. Radio Leeds' Tracy Gee was at Oxenhope Station to record reaction to the event and interview our very own film maestro, Roger France.
Sunday 21st August is the last chance of 2016 to ride on the Vintage Train, once again being hauled by TVR 0-6-2T no. 85 with Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0T 1704 'Nunlow' on the Keighley - Ingrow shuttle. The weekend service will be in the hands of 90733 and the weekday services will be hauled by 43924
75078 returns this weekend and continues through to Friday 19th. 43924 joins 75078 on Sunday with D0226 providing the early morning diesel service.
90733 continues on duty through to Sunday when it will be joined by 85, on Oxenhope - Keighley all-line Vintage Train, and 1054 on the Keighley - Ingrow shuttle. This week the weekday steam services will be in the capable hands of 43924.

USA 0-6-0T 30072 (aka 72) wrote herself into KWVR folklore when, along with 41241, the locomotive hauled the Re-opening Special in 1968. However the locomotive is now leaving the Railway for a planned overhaul at Preston, crossed this will be completed in time for the re-opening re-enactment in June 2018 to celebrate 50 years of of the KWVR.
43924 will be at the head of the weekday service. 90733 will operate for the 3 days of the Bank Holiday with 75078 joining in the fun on Sunday and Monday.
It is not everyday that TV stars appear on the Railway, but Thursday 13th August saw two very popular celebrities on the railway to film an episode of 'Holiday of my Lifetime'.
It is the last weekend of the Vintage Train service next Sunday when 1054 will once again be at the head of the vintage collection of carriages. During the week 75078 returns and 5820 will be heading the main service set over the weekend.
90th birthday celebration reunification for driver in 1970s cinema blockbuster.
It's Haworth Haddock night on the KWVR this weekend. The previous 'Haddock' raised £1,280 for Manorlands Hospice, a charity close to the hearts of everyone at the KWVR.
43924 is back in action this week, with 90733 operating Saturday and Sunday, to be joined by 1054 on the Vintage Train.

Due to unforeseen difficulties with road access to the Railway, the appearance of 31806 and 34053 has had to be cancelled. Currently the event will consist of the home fleet although strenuous efforts are being made to secure a visiting locomotive that can arrive by rail.
Two steam, two mainline diesels and a diesel multiple unit provide a variety for this week and the weekend, 90733 on the weekday service, 5820 and 90733 at the weekend plus 20 031 and 37 075 and the Class 101 DMU.
