As part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations we are delighted to announce a Mixed Traffic day on Saturday 30th June and a Diesel Gala on Sunday 1st July. The weekend is kindly being supported by GB Railfreight and will feature visiting locomotives to the Railway.

With the Christmas festivities now behind us, we have a period of weekend running with the Green (Saturday) and Blue (Sunday) Winter Timetables. For this first weekends of 2018, 43924 will be at the head of the weekend steam service with 4 round trips on each day.
We are now accepting applications from KWVR members and photo permit holders for the special 'Flying Scotsman' lineside permit which all photographers will have to have during the 7 days the locomotive is hauling trains along the Worth Valley branch
The Winter Steam Gala will now feature 4 locomotives in addition to our home fleet. To add to previously announced 61264 and 13065, for 1½ days we will be host to two ex-LMS 'Black 5s', our own 45212 and Ian Riley's 45407.
No. 85 has operated every steam service throughout January and will once again provide steam power over the weekend.
Taff Vale 0-6-2T no. 85 will be out on the mainline once again this weekend for its 3rd outing this year.
In February 2016 a landslip north of Appleby closed the Settle to Carlisle railway. Over a year later, at a cost of over £23 million, the line re-opens at the end of March. To commemorate this significant event, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway are running a special train hauled by the most famous locomotive in the world, the ' Flying Scotsman'.

The last weekend in January sees the last rostered turn for 75078 before withdrawal for its annual inspection.
