Tours of our famous Haworth Motive Power Depot
These fascinating, behind the scenes, tours start from the Booking Hall at Haworth Station and will last for approximately 45 minutes. The tour involves walking on uneven and slippery surfaces, and includes steps. For this reason, it is not suitable for those with mobility problems. Regretfully open toed shoes are not permitted. Tours are limited to 16 persons. Access to the sheds is only permitted for authorised groups who must remain together at all times.
Please be aware that because this is both a hazardous and a working environment and children under 16, therefore, MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult. Due to yard restrictions and operating requirements tours may have to be curtailed or cancelled without notice.
We can also arrange for groups of 10+ persons to visit the shed by request to the office, email: firstname.lastname@example.org with all your details, numbers, day of visit etc and, subject to availability of the guides and of access, we will try to accommodate your request.
Dates and times for 2020 will be announced in the New Year. Keep a look out on the website and social media for more information
There is no charge, but we do ask guests to consider making a Gift Aided donation to the KWVR Charity (no 1136853). Although the restoration of Ivatt Tank 41241 is complete, all donations will go towards the funding of this KWVR iconic locomotive’s overhaul.
