7 day running starts this weekend with 43924 operating Saturday and Sunday services. 5820 will power the second train on Sunday and will continue on the weekday service.
Class 25 diesel 25 059 will be hauling the second Diesel & Ale train of the year on Saturday with 75078 on duty Saturday – Bank Holiday Monday and 43924 joining in Sunday and Monday and continuing throughout the rest of the half-term week. The Vintage tour bus has its first outing of 2018, Tuesday - Friday.
A further 3 locomotives have been announced to take part in the 50th Anniversary Gala celebration - two steam locomotives, 45212 and 34092 'City of Wells' and one diesel, Class 50, 50 035 'Ark Royal'
This weekend is the annual Haworth 1940s Weekend when the area is transported back in time. To ensure that visitors are ferried along the Valley with minimum delay, 3 steam locomotives and one mainline diesel will be in operation throughout both days of the vent - almost a mini-gala. Locomotives this weekend are, steam 5820, 75078 and 43924 and diesel 20 031.
Once again 5820 will be hauling the steam service this weekend and our Class 101 DMU will operate the diesel service both at the weekend and on the mid-week railcar service.
Class 20 diesel 20 031 will be hauling the first Diesel & Ale trains of the year on Saturday with 5820 on duty Saturday - Bank Holiday Monday and 43924 joining in Sunday and Monday.
On Saturday 27th May, it is Diesel & Ale Day when our diesel service will be formed of Mk.1 stock with on-train bar facilities sponsored by BIngley Brewery and hauled by 25 059. The steam service will have 75078 at the head. For the Sunday and Monday 2 steam service, 75078 will be joined by 5820. Tuesday - Friday will see 43924 take over for weekday running being joined by 75078 on Wednesday and Thursday
This weekend we feature 3 days of passenger services with three locomotives that saw action during WW2 hauling our steam services. 90733 is in operation on all three days being joined by 5820 and 43924 on Saturday and Sunday
This weekend the standard weekend service will see 75078 in operation on both days and 43924 at the head of the 2nd steam service on Sunday. Our Class 101 diesel multiple unit will operate the Saturday diesel service.
The first weekend for some time with our standard weekend service will see 90733 in operation on both days and 75078 at the head of the 2nd steam service on Sunday
Three locomotives will share the services over the May half-term. 75078 starts the week, assisted by 90733 on Sunday and Monday with 43924 taking over Tuesday - Friday. Plus mainline diesel haulage on Saturday with 37 075
Locomotives built specifically for the war effort take centre stage for the Haworth 1940s Weekend when the village is transformed by crowds and bunting in celebration of the war years. War Department locomotive 90733 will feature on all 3 days but this year will be supported by 43924, 5820, our second wartime locomotive being stopped for essential repairs.
This weekend sees 75078 operating steam services on Saturday and Sunday with TVR no. 85 hauling a 3 coach set on Sunday. Additionally D0226 will be hauling coaches to form the 2 diesel services on Sunday. A weekend with something for everyone.
