Tours of Haworth Workshops
Due the current ongoing situation with COVID-19, although the Railway is now running, Workshop Tours are suspended until social distancing rules are sufficiently relaxed, but we do not anticipate tours will return until well into 2021. Watch out on this website and social media.
When tours do become available you will be able to encounter the excitement and nostalgia of the Locomotive works, with it’s exclusive sounds and smells, get up close to our fleet of Steam and Diesel locomotives with knowledgeable commentary from your experienced guide.
Any, or all, of the current stock may be seen including : Ivatt 2-6-2T 41241, resplendent in its reopening day, Crimson Lake livery, Standard 2 78022 (the latest locomotive to enter traffic), Standard 4 75078, S160 5820, 4F 43924, and Taff Vale 0-6-2T no. 85 from the operating fleet and WD 2-8-0 90733 and Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway 0-6-0 no. 957, ‘Green Dragon’ in ‘The Railway Children’, undergoing restoration and maybe more.
