Virtual Locomotive Roster for Weekend 4th & 5th July and Wednesday 8th – Friday 10th July 2020

It’s Vintage Sunday again this weekend. The main steam service on Saturday and Sunday will be in the hands of 75078 with 85 on the main vintage set. 85 will then continue in use on the weekday on the Wednesday – Friday service.

Four year’s ago all was well in the Valley with COVID-19 not even on the horizon, but all was not well with BR Class 4MT 4-6-0 75078 which had to be withdrawn from service the previous weekend. However repairs were concluded and the 60 year old locomotive took up its next scheduled duty the next weekend. This week we go back to 2016.

Our Vintage Sunday service was in action with Taff Vale Railway no. 85 at the head of a set of mixed vintage coaches, from the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Trust and Vintage Carriages Trust:
