Haworth 1940s Weekend

Step back in time!

The Village of Haworth hosts one of the biggest 1940s events in the UK over the weekend of May 16th to 18th, 2025.

The village is transformed to celebrate the 1940s, with vintage vehicles displayed, re-enactments, jive dancing, singing and bands playing. The village is full of stalls, and the home guard will be on patrol.

You can travel in style and arrive at Haworth Station. There are large free car parks at Ingrow and Oxenhope; then you can travel by train into Haworth.

You can turn up on the day and purchase your tickets or pre-book online in advance and save 10%.

There’s plenty to keep you busy at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway during the 1940s weekend!

  • The Old Parcels Office at Keighley Station serves light snacks, hearty meals and tasty desserts.

EVENT INFORMATION

The Old Parcels Office
Situated between Platforms 3 & 4 at Keighley Station, it serves light snacks, hearty meals, tasty desserts, proper coffee and a well-stocked bar. The perfect spot to stop along the railway for a bite to eat, a brew or a pint.

Oxenhope Station
The Buffet Car situated at the station will be open, serving hot & cold drinks and sandwiches, pies and sweet treats. The unique tearoom is the perfect viewing spot for trains arriving & departing into the station while looking out over the yard full of our historic carriages,

The On-Train Bar
While on the move, enjoy refreshments from the Restaurant Miniature Buffet Carriage,
hauled by the steam service. You’ll be able to enjoy a pint of hand-pulled real ale, hot & cold drinks and snacks. Valid Local Resident Card Holders can enjoy a 10% discount.

Keighley Station
On the platform at Keighley Station, there is a well-stocked refreshment bar serving hot & cold drinks, sandwiches, pies and sweet treats.

Normal fares operate with standard discounts for local resident cardholders and members. If you live in Postcode areas BD20, BD21 or BD22,  you can take advantage of special reduced fares by having a Local Residents Railcard. Find out more information about how to apply on the website.
