In line with the latest Government guidance, and with thanks to a successful fundraising campaign, we’re delighted to announce that The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway will reopen to the public from Wednesday 19th August.

Steam trains will run from Oxenhope on a return journey through the beautiful Worth Valley, passing historic stations along the way. There’ll be an opportunity to stretch your legs at Keighley and see the locomotive up close.

We’ll be using private compartment carriages that seat from 1 to 8 people so you and your family can be assured of a safe journey. Each carriage will be thoroughly cleaned between journeys, and face masks won’t be essential.

Our carriages include Vintage and First Class, they’re rarely used on the Railway, and won’t be seen anywhere else in the region.

We’ll be updating our website shortly with further information and updates on times, as well as our FAQs on our new operations and safety measures. Tickets will go on-sale online ONLY on Monday 13th July, and pre-booking is essential.

We can’t wait to see you again soon!

We’re Good To Go

We’ve been working hard to make sure that the Railway’s a safe place to visit and we’re delighted to be awarded the ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry charter mark. This shows that we’ve worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and have processes in place to maintain cleanliness and help you to have a safe visit.
