Make one of your first post-lockdown days out one to remember with a special steam-hauled journey through the Worth Valley.
As part of a phased reopening, we’re offering pre-booked return journeys using private compartments. These seat 1-8 people, and on Sundays we’ll be using vintage and First Class stock rarely used on the Railway.
To keep everyone safe we’ve made some changes so your visit will be a bit different to normal. Please visit our ‘Back in Steam’ FAQ page to read more about what to expect on the day and see what safety measure are in place.
On the Day
Return journeys will depart from Oxenhope and Keighley, and will include a break half way round where you can stretch your legs and pose for photographs next to the engine.
The Oxenhope Exhibition Shed has been transformed to a spacious waiting room where you can see more engines up close, visit the pop-up shop, and enjoy refreshments from the café.
Haworth Heritage Tours will take place every Saturday and Sunday plus Wednesday 22nd August at 11:45, 13:45, 15:45 and 17:45. Places are limited and must be booked on your arrival at Oxenhope. These tours will take you around the station and local area with views into the yard. The tours are free with your booking, but donations are appreciated. Please make your own way to Haworth Station, trains will not be stopping at Haworth.
Dates and Times
Trains will run every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (and Bank Holiday Monday) from 19th August until 30th August at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00. NB: Last train from Keighley is 14:00, Sunday trains depart from Oxenhope only.

Up to two children aged three and under are free per compartment. All children aged four and over will need to be counted in the number of passengers.
A maximum of two dogs per compartment are welcome to travel for £1 each. Assistance dogs only on Sundays.
Tickets must be booked online in advance. If you’re unable to book online, please call 01535 645214, a £3.50 booking fee will apply for telephone bookings.
