‘Back in Steam’

Enjoy a day out to remember with a special steam-hauled journey through the Worth Valley.

As part of a phased reopening, we’re offering pre-booked return journeys using private compartments. These seat 1 – 6 people, and on Sundays, and some Saturdays, we’ll be using vintage and First Class stock rarely used on the Railway.

To keep everyone safe we’ve made some changes so your visit will be a bit different to normal. Please visit our ‘Back in Steam’ FAQ page to read more about what to expect on the day and see what safety measure are in place.

The Oxenhope Exhibition Shed has been transformed to a spacious waiting room where you can see more engines up close, visit the pop-up shop, and enjoy refreshments from the café.

Notice to KWVR Members & Local Residents' Card Holders

Due to the complexities of the current running arrangements, reduced passenger capacity and the need to ensure compliance with Government restrictions, holders of a Local Residents’ Railcard and KWVR Members travel concessions are temporarily suspended.

We are, however, looking at how these restrictions may be removed at some time in the future.

We’re very grateful to everyone who holds a membership or local residents’ railcard and your support help to keep the railway alive. We hope to be able to offer your usual discounts as soon as possible.

And finally ....

Please follow social distancing and government guidance when you visit. If you’re showing any of the symptoms of coronavirus, or if you’ve been in contact with anyone that has the virus in the last 14 days, please arrange to visit another time.
