No. 85 has operated every steam service throughout January and will once again provide steam power over the weekend.
Taff Vale 0-6-2T no. 85 will be out on the mainline once again this weekend for its 3rd outing this year.
It is "as you were" on the branch this weekends with 85 on the steam turn and the diesel railbus, M79964, operating the early morning diesel service on Saturday and all day Sunday.
With the heavy trains of the Christmas festivities over, the larger locomotives take a back seat and this weekend sees the return of Taff Vale Railway no. 85 to the front line. Passenger services start at 09.00 on Saturday and 10.15 on Sunday.
The last weekend in January sees the last rostered turn for 75078 before withdrawal for its annual inspection.
It is 'as you were' for motive power this weekend with 75078 on the steam service and the railbus on the diesel service.
