43924 is operating the steam service on Sunday to be joined by 41241 on Sunday, providing a two steam train service throughout the day.
There will be 2 steam locomotives in action this weekend with 43924 operating on Saturday and 41241 handling the Sunday steam service. The Class 101 DMU will operate the diesel service on both days.
This weekend sees the introduction of the Winter timetables with 43924 at the head of our steam services and the Class 101 DMU on the diesel services.
After the intensity of the Beer & Music Festival services, stretching from 09.00 to after midnight for our locomotive crews, we return to normality with 75078 on the steam service at the weekend and 41241 working the half term weekday service.
With just one week to go for the 2018 Beer & Music Festival, motive power this weekend will be in the form of our Class 101 diesel multiple unit and steam locomotive 43924
October sees the introduction of the revised Blue timetable with the second train operated by one of our diesel railcars with one steam hauled service on both Saturday and Sunday. 41241 will operate the steam services on both days with diesel railcar services on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday operated by the Class 101 diesel multiple unit
This weekend sees the last of our Diesel and Ale Saturday with 37 075 bringing down the curtain on the 2018 series of this monthly event with real ales being provided by Naylor’s Brewery from Cross Hills. 75078 and 41241 provide the steam services.
The weekend services will be in the hands of 75078 on both days with 41241 operating the relief train on Sunday.
Our Civil Engineers have been busy and our normal weekend service resumes with 5820 operating steam trains on both days and 43924 joining in on Sunday. The midweek diesel railcar service returns on Wednesday and this, and the Saturday early morning service, will be operated by our Class 101 DMU.
With our Civil Engineers undertaking essential maintenance the Green timetable will operate on both days this weekend with 43924 at the head of the steam service.
Saturday sees the continued presence of 75078 but 5820 comes on duty towards the end of the day. 5820 and 1054 will head the main steam services on Sunday with 41241 operating the last of our daily Summer services.
The Bank Holiday weekend starts with the monthly Diesel and Ale service. 25 059 is rostered for this train with 5820 on the steam service. 5820 will be joined on Sunday and Monday by 41241. Tuesday to Friday weekday services will be hauled by 75078
Saturday sees the continued presence of 75078 but 5820 comes on duty towards the end of the day. 5820 and 1054 will head the main steam services on Sunday with 5820 continuing on the weekday service.
Throughout the weekend and the following week 75078 will head the main steam services, joined by 41241 on 3 suburban coaches on Sunday.
The heavy rains have helped dampen the lineside and steam trains are scheduled to run throughout the week with trains hauled by 43924 (dry conditions permitting).
The weekend sees the Saturday Diesel & Ale Train in operation with 37 075, Steam operates Saturday - Friday with 5820 and the Vintage Train will have 41241 hauling the historic vintage coaches
The hot and dry conditions continue, despite some recent rain, but there is no steam ban on the KWVR with 75078 operating at the weekend with 41241 on the Vintage Train on Sunday and the weekday service which this week sees the introduction of the Haworth - Oxenhope tour bus.
Despite the continued hot weather and steam bans elsewhere, the KWVR continues to operate steam hauled services and this weekend sees 75078 at the head of the main service train, assisted in the rear by 20 031. 43924 will be at the head of the Vintage Train on Sunday and the 'Ivatt' tank 41241 hauls its first service trains since overhaul Monday - Friday.
The 50th Anniversary Gala has been a huge success but now we return to our 'normal' operation with our 4 train weekday service which this week will be hauled by 43924
50 years in the making, the re-opened Keighley and Worth Valley Railway is only 1 week away from being 50 years old. To celebrate this momentous occasion we have in store the most ambitious Gala ever held on the Railway when no less than EIGHTEEN different steam and diesel locomotives will operate passenger services over the Oxenhope branch from Keighley over the 8days from the 24th June to the 1st July
