Booking Clerk

The role of a booking clerk is that all important first link the traveller has with our Railway. A broad smile, welcoming nature, and good appearance are the all important first needs of a booking clerk.

Our booking clerks now have a state of the art IT system for issuing tickets at their disposal which is linked to the pre booked parties details held on the Railways accounting systems, and the handling of money is a much simpler process with the computerised system managing every transaction. Booking is a very rewarding post, meeting the public face to face, advising of what our Railway has to offer, as well as advising on how to make the most of the Railway experience whilst working closely with the Foreman of the day.
