Film is an ideal vehicle for exploration, creativity and expression whilst working collaboratively with their peers. It can also inspire self-confidence and develop learners use and command of spoken language. Our workshop aims to provide a setting where learners can produce a short film in a contextual setting.

Lights, Camera, Action! Join us at the museum to create your own short film. We provide the setting and props; you provide the creativity and imagination. Be a film star, a reporter or a documentarian, the choice is yours. This creative workshop allows you to develop your filmmaking and collaborative skills whilst in a context based setting . It also encourages progress in speaking and listening, and writing composition, as well as narrative and nonfiction based literacy skills.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop in a number of spoken language skills, including articulation, narrative, imagination, audibility, fluency, presentation, performance.
  • Develop writing skills, planning, drafting and evaluating script prior to performance.
